Swarm of Eyes to play Worcester’s Lucky Dog Music Hall January 28th

Swarm of Eyes will play their first live show of 2012 at The Lucky Dog in Worcester, MA on January 28th. The bill also includes Sweet Destruction,  The River Neva, Ratchaburi (featuring SOE’s Tommy Burke on drums) and Supernaut (The Black Sabbath Experience) headlining the event. Tickets are $10 at the door with showtime at 8pm.

Need an added incentive to check out the show? A new year merits new material. SOE has added two new songs from Designing the Dystopia to their set, fan-favorite “Warzone” and the epic “Journey To the Endless End.”

As if the two new songs and total of five live bands wasn’t enough reason to waste spend an enchanted evening with Swarm of Eyes, the band Ratchaburi have booked a tour bus to bring people from the Boston area out to Worcester! For $30 fans will get a bus ride, beer on the bus and admission to the show at The Lucky Dog. To come party with Ratchaburi and Swarm of Eyes on the bus, please contact either band via their Facebook pages.

The bus ride may include a real shit-show, but with a live lineup like this you can be sure you won’t be seeing a shitty show at The Lucky Dog on the 28th! Come on down!

Swarm of Eyes to Appear on “Kosher Komp: Vol. 1”

Online metal radio station, KosherMetal.com is doing their part to support underground metal with the release of Kosher Komp: Vol. 1, available for free download on September 10th, 2011. The compilation features 25 songs from 14 metal bands, including Threat Level, Ana Kefr, Mouth of the Serpent, and (of course) Swarm of Eyes.

Since Swarm of Eyes are twice as handsome as most metal bands, they will have not one, but two songs from their debut, Designing the Dystopia, included on the compilation. Future fans who have not yet had the pleasure of having heard Swarm of Eyes (or fans too cheap to purchase the insanely affordable album through the band’s website, iTunes or CD Baby) can experience the joy of having their ears bleed to the tune of “Ruins of My Last Salvation” and “Teeth of the Serpent” with the release of the Kosher Komp: Vol. 1 download.

A full track listing will be available on September 10th, 2011. Fans will be able to download the compilation for free at KosherMetal.com. For now, get a gander at all of the bands appearing on the download and brace yourself for extreme handsomeness at 0.31 on the video below:

SOE Guitarist George O’Connor at Boston Comic Con

Swarm of Eyes guitarist, George O’Connor has a secret identity. When he’s not melting faces with hellacious riffs, George is a mild-mannered comic book writer. HEALED, the independent comic book that George has collaborated on with artist Griffin, interweaves several stories of what happens when life-threatening sickness and disease are no longer a part of the human experience — and it’s not quite as rosy a picture as it initially seems. Published through Homeless Comics, HEALED has received positive reviews, most notably from G4TV’s Blair Butler on her Fresh Ink Blog.

George and Griffin have recently completed Issue #3 of HEALED, which will be making its debut at the Boston Comic Con on April 30th and May 1st. Swarmies who have already hopped aboard the HEALED fan wagon can stop by their booth (more…)
