SOE Plays Quincy’s Beachcomber; Gears Up for The River Neva’s Release Party at Ralph’s Rock Diner

On Saturday night, April 28, 2012, Swarm of Eyes added yet another successful gig to their growing list of crowd-pleasing shows. The band made metal magic at The Beachcomber in Quincy, MA, sharing the bill with Ratchaburi (featuring SOE drummer Tommy Burke), Sweet Destruction, and Server.

In addition to debuting two new songs (“Warzone” and “Teeth of the Serpent”) from their album to their live set, Swarm of Eyes performed covers of The Misfits’ “Skulls” and The Ramones’ “Blitzkrieg Bop.” As a surprise highlight, the Eyes guys were joined on vocals by Chris Harrell of Acaro and Tony DeMauro of Sweet Destruction.

Another highlight of the show was SOE vocalist Randy valiantly battling back barf after eating an entire bag of potato chips before taking the stage.

If you missed all the fun of the Beachcomber show, you can make up for lost time by checking out Swarm of Eyes at Ralph’s Rock Diner in Worcester, MA. SOE joins Acaro, Sabado Gigante, Seven Minute Stagger, and The Black Heart Epidemic at The River Neva’s album release party and video shoot. The event is open to fans 21 years of age or older. Doors open at 7pm with show time at 8:30pm. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $10 via The River Neva’s webstore or are $12 at the door. The price of admission also includes a copy of The River Neva’s debut disc, Chemistry of Holocaust.

Come check out the show Saturday May 5th, celebrate The River Neva’s debut album, and see a ton of great bands gathered together on one bill! And hey! Since it will be Cinco De Mayo, maybe Randy will try not to puke up an enchilada on stage in lieu of potato chips! Does it get any better!?

Thrash N’ Bang Interview and Review SOE

Metal website Thrash N’ Bang caught up with Swarm of Eyes at the band’s most recent live show. Thrash N’ Bang’s singlularly-monikered Slimedog sat down with the Eyes guys to chat about everything from how the band came together, who contributes the most, and how lead singer Randy Carter gets his hair so gosh-darn pretty. The entire interview can be read here.

Thrash N’ Bang were also on-hand to see the band at The Lucky Dog on January 28th, 2012. If you weren’t lucky enough to catch SOE that night, experience a sliver of the magic through the site’s co-creator Andy Bang’s review of the live show, which also featured The River Neva, Sweet Destruction, Ratchaburi, and Supernaut on the bill, as well.

Swarm of Eyes would like to thank Thrash N’ Bang for all of the love they’ve sent the band’s way. We really appreciate it and love Andy Bang and Slimedog back… In a totally hetero, metal comrades-in-arms kind of way!

Swarmies, please show some love to Thrash N’ Bang and check out all of the stellar news, reviews, and interviews (Hey! That rhymes!) available on their site. Do it! NOW!

Swarm of Eyes to play Worcester’s Lucky Dog Music Hall January 28th

Swarm of Eyes will play their first live show of 2012 at The Lucky Dog in Worcester, MA on January 28th. The bill also includes Sweet Destruction,  The River Neva, Ratchaburi (featuring SOE’s Tommy Burke on drums) and Supernaut (The Black Sabbath Experience) headlining the event. Tickets are $10 at the door with showtime at 8pm.

Need an added incentive to check out the show? A new year merits new material. SOE has added two new songs from Designing the Dystopia to their set, fan-favorite “Warzone” and the epic “Journey To the Endless End.”

As if the two new songs and total of five live bands wasn’t enough reason to waste spend an enchanted evening with Swarm of Eyes, the band Ratchaburi have booked a tour bus to bring people from the Boston area out to Worcester! For $30 fans will get a bus ride, beer on the bus and admission to the show at The Lucky Dog. To come party with Ratchaburi and Swarm of Eyes on the bus, please contact either band via their Facebook pages.

The bus ride may include a real shit-show, but with a live lineup like this you can be sure you won’t be seeing a shitty show at The Lucky Dog on the 28th! Come on down!
